I know this has been long awaited, but I've finally found a candidate I can endorse.
Bob Barr is running on the Libertarian ticket. No timetable, no torture, and no global warming.
He doesn't keep calling me "his friend," and he doesn't need to put "aahhh" in between every other word in order to kill time to figure out the politically correct thing to say.

West Virginia...Clinton-opolis.
The media is calling WV as a landslide victory for Hillary tomorrow. They're portraying it as a "race" thing. As a West Virginian who opposes both democratic candidates, I would just like to say that I don't think it's a "race" thing as much as it is a "democrat" thing. WV is a DEMOCRAT state. In addition, the people of this state LOVE Bill Clinton. They would have no problem with him being our "supreme commander" for the rest of our lives. So whatever it takes to get him back in the White House, so be it. Even if it means putting a woman in charge. I guess at that point, it may be a "gender" thing more than a "race" thing.
On the GREEN front, McCain is talking about using the free-market to combat Global Warming or Climate Change, or whatever it is they're calling it now. That makes me happy. He's also talking about going nuclear power. That won't make a lot of people happy, but apparently it will reduce carbon emissions...and since CO2 is Earth's poison, that should make them happy... but I have a feeling it won't.

McCain in the No Spin Zone
Part 1 was last night. tonight they'll be focusing more on foreign policy. that should make me feel a little better about him. but last night....ugh....that was awful....
All three candidates say they have an energy policy. I'm all for finding alternative energy sources, but we got a crisis now, and as far as I'm concerned, if their plan doesn't involve drilling for our own oil, they have no plan. Lucky us, none of them want to drill.
I hope I'm wrong again, but I think the price of oil is going to continue to rise and their is nothing we can do about it. The democratic candidates want to tax the oil companies more, but they'll adjust their prices, so it'll just end up screwing the consumer. Companies NEVER get taxed. Only the consumers.
O'Reilly says he's going to go after the oil companies next. That'll be a waste of time, but maybe he can open up the mystery a bit and put it to rest where others have failed. I doubt it though. Congress has investigated them multiple times and come up with nothing. If he comes up with nothing, he'll just be painted as a "schill for the oil companies" by the far left wingers.
The big profits they get end up being less than 10% of their investment. That's ludicrous compared to other companies, such as the bottled water market. An offshore rig costs about $100 mill to drill. If you drill 10 dry holes, you just lost $1 bill. $40 bill dollar profit comes from a $400 bill investment. I'd say that's considered high risk.
The environmental damage these guys are claiming is ludicrous. It's equivalent to a pin hole in the ground and reclamation techiniques have a come long way from where they started out. Some say they leave a site better off than what it was before.
I understand there is still the "emissions factor," but it won't matter if we all starve to death by using up all the corn or not being able to get to work to pay for food.
...but i'm not bitter...

Global Warming...How Do I Feel About It Today?
Ask me on any given day whether I think it's a hoax or not. It depends on what kind of day I'm having. One minute I hear the Earth has been cooling for the past 10 years. The next minute I see polar bear floating on tiny icebergs.
Then....there's the entertainment industry...you gotta love the double standards.
