Obama The Blogger

The comments section on the Huffington Post blog of Sen. Obama's is pretty funny. Let the justification begin.

this is one of my favorites:

"Wow. Obama refuses to acknowledge the terrorism the US has engaged in and the suffering that we have caused. This should positively show him as wearing the same stripes as McCain, Clinton, et al.

Clearly actions done for political expediency, and not out of a recognition of reality. Either he is lying, or he is blind to the truth about what America has done, in spite of its 'greatness'."

Twenty years. He prays to Jesus every night and he decides to play the clueless card.

He's a blogger now. Nice.

Before this came out, I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was even close to getting my vote, except for a couple of issues.

Here's an idea. Maybe have a press conference, answer some questions. You know, maybe not hide behind your staff or a computer. Very presidential. The
rock star of the democratic party.

Obama-Clinton, Clinton-Obama – either dream team is McCain’s worst nightmare. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama can easily make that nightmare a reality for him right now. Here’s how:

Both publicly pledge that if are nominated for President, the other candidate will be their first choice for the Vice Presidential spot.

This immediately puts a stop to attacks on the other, or calling their ability into question. They can still debate the issues and clarify their differences, but the main focus of their anger and outrage can now be directed at the Bush-McCain policies of the past 8 years.

The enthusiastic support of the other is exactly what each candidate will need in the fall to win. Each appeals to the voters the other has the hardest time attracting. If they combine their strengths – “hope” and “work” - they both will almost certainly be in a position to lead America out of the mess we are in.

interesting analysis.

as far as I knew, Hillary was the only one looking for the "dream ticket." if that happens, you either have two presidents or two vice presidents, and if the campaign is any indication of what is to come, it sounds like more of a "nightmare" to me.

after this pastor flap, Obama may have no choice but to pick Hillary as his running mate in order to unify the party. before this came out, she needed him more than he needed her.

what's interesting is that McCain is running only slightly behind, within margin of error, in general election polls against either candidate. so, that tells me, that even though a majority of America may have disagreed with the current administrations policies, they either a) don't associate McCain with Bush or b) don't believe that the Bush policies are as bad as the left wing would lead you to believe.
